Boys & Girls Clubs of Lakeland & Mulberry is excited to begin the 2016 - 2017 After School Program! This year the clubs are all running 21st Century Community Learning Center grants that promote academic success for all members. The James J. Musso Unit, Wogan S. Badcock Jr. Unit, and Carl G. Schowe Unit are entering their 1st year with a new 21st CCLC grant. The John L. Sanders Unit is entering its 3rd year with the grant. The clubs are so excited to see all the great accomplishments members make while participating in the program. This year’s program features Project Based Learning activities facilitated by Florida State Certified Teachers, homework assistance, tutoring, physical fitness activities, resistance training and healthy lifestyle activities, and recreational activities at no cost to families. Members will end each day with a hot meal provided through the USDA’s After School Nutrition Program. The food program ensures that members receive a hot and healthy meal every day for dinner.
