Mid-Year Evaluation Results

We are halfway through our grant year and just finished up our formative evaluation!  The Formative Evaluation Summary examines mid-year progress toward achieving our 21st CCLC program objectives.  It measures data collected from the  beginning of the school year to December 2014.  It allows us to gauge where we are in meeting out objectives and what improvements we can make to succeed in being a beneficial program for all of our members.  The results are as follows:
  • 80% of regularly participating students will maintain or improve knowledge of healthy eating and the importance of physical fitness. (Currently at 74%)
  • 75% of regularly participating students will report having adopted a routine of healthy eating habits and increased physical activity outside of the program. (Currently at 63%)
  • 80% of program participants will go to school with homework completed and all necessary materials. (Currently at 73%)
  • 80% of regularly participating students will maintain or show improvements in school conduct, behavior, social competencies and suspension rates.  (Currently at 54%)
  • 70% of regularly participating students will maintain or improve academic performance in reading. (Currently at 57%)
  • 80% of regularly participating students will maintain or improve in reading vocabulary skills. (Currently at 79%)
  • 70% of regularly participating students will maintain or improve academic performance in math.  (Currently at 58%)
  • 70% of regularly participating students will maintain or improve academic performance in science and technology.  (Currently at 54%)
  • 90% of parents will confirm they have obtained knowledge that will support their child academically. (NA)
  • 80% of parents will confirm they have obtained knowledge that will help them support their family through healthy eating and financial education.  (NA)
  • 65% of program parents will participate in book club. (Currently at 74%)
  • 70% of program parents will participate in an open house during the program.  (Currently at 81%)
